The early morning rides aren't the problem - I used to enjoy the morning commutes when I was working. The problem was always the bit before with the alarm clock and getting out of bed in the first place. I guess my body clock just prefers the later start.

It's still a lovely and warm day.
The morning and early afternoon have been spent completing the food & drink shopping for the next few days at a very leisurely pace. Post shower I've done nothing except sit in the shaded part of the garden with a cold glass of orange & mango squash, catching up with the news, the F1 qualifying on the radio and listening some recent music purchases.

Consequential rapid progress of fitting pedals (the crank holes were already greased) and less rapid progress of the holder for the battery extender due to limited space through it for the torque wrench set to 4Nm. Ended up hand tightened until there was a smidge of resistance. Now just a pretty windless day needed to clamp the saddle to a stand and check the gear changes.
