I put curtain rails up. This was made mildly more complex because this is a very old house with funny measurements and the rails can't just sit above the windows in the normal way.
Putting the brackets in the wrong place was entirely my own fault, however.
Rude words were said: this didn't help.
New holes were drilled, old holes filled, brackets put up, old holes painted over, all is well.
Now I need to get the actual curtains.

It's been a blustery and mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard after some overnight rain.

Slept well enough, but still not feeling it. Ears are bunged and there is serious sinus snottage. Yuck. I've had a quiet day watching and listening to the BTCC from Thruxton and the F1 from Hungary. I've also kept an eye on the Hundred cricket and the sumo.

Really happy, as my favourite rikishi Aonishki won the top division yusho. Among his prizes was a whole cow's worth of beef, a tonne of rice, a year's supply of noodles, a year's supply of beer and I've forgotten just how many eggs. Oh, and a year's supply of macarons. :hungry:

Here, food has been mostly of the snaccident variety.

Well, no, but that's because I'd still be working out how many inches 175cm is.

Two inches short of six foot i.e. 70 inches.

Ready reckoning is easy. 180 cm is two yards, and each yard is 6 foot, and each foot is 12 inches. An inch is roughly 2.5 cm, so lop two inches off the total.
