Used this afternoon's walk to listen to the first 55 or so laps of the Hungarian Grand Prix and then listened to the rest while having a coffee in the back garden. Sounded quite good so I'm just about to press play and watch the recording.

There's a firework display due to start in the next half hour to end the Felixstowe Carnival weekend and if I go upstairs I may just be able to see some of the bigger stuff in the distance. Hopefully the very strong & gusty breeze that we've had all day has dropped enough to enable it to go ahead.

Ready reckoning is easy. 180 cm is two yards, and each yard is 6 foot, and each foot is 12 inches. An inch is roughly 2.5 cm, so lop two inches off the total.

My energy supply account has been credited with just under £70 for the excess electricity exported to the grid for the past month. I'm now over £510 in credit before the August direct debit (£50) is added. I don't need the cash at the moment, so it will be left there along with whatever else is added for the rest of the year and I'll have a warm winter.

Fireworks have gone ahead.
