Parish magazine(electronic) diocesan magazine (sometimes) ,parish directory, I get roped into all that. Keeps me sharp on the photography, tho.

In this case, it's to encourage people to use the apples in the community orchard rather than see the fruit go to waste. A lot of folks say they don't use the fruit because they a) don't know what varieties are in there and b) don't know what to use them for.

This project involves writing, cooking and photography. It's kind of fun, as it borders on hobby territory for me.

Without getting political, I think that instead fiddling around with the VAT rate on electricity, why not remove the Standing Charge for those using "smaller" than average amounts?

I think that one company did make a tariff doing completely without a standing charge. The problem was that the unit costs were higher so you had to be a low use customer to reduce costs. Not ideal when the kids' breakfast time comes around and money's scarce. It costs more to turn their bread into toast and cold beans into a warm meal.

Better to unlink the price of cheap green electricity from the most expensive fuels. We all pay for all our electricity at the most expensive rate and a share of the savings for the utility company go to shareholders - and especially not the poorer families.
