Our 'Scottish' trip is coming together - we aren't doing the NC500, but effectively going 'up' over a number of days. Total nine night trip, 6 nights 'booked'.

4-5 hour drive upto Loch Lomond for three nights camping, two hours or so over to Glenmore (Aviemore) for two nights (camping again), then a further two to three hours drive onto Laide to visit my cousin (North West coast).

Anyway, she's been in touch and said don't book anything as the spare room is free ! So we've three days un-booked - probably stay a couple of nights, then drive south for a night, before we've booked in at a Hotel in Glasgow - MrsF is on a sewing doo (craft event). Found secure parking for the van as it will be full of camping gear and my bike - took a bit of research to find a hotel and parking near to where MrsF's event is.

It's a 4-5 hour drive from Laide just to get to Glasgow !

There is CCTV everywhere too anyway!

That's an interesting thought: there's almost no CCTV in public areas in Germany because it's illegal to store a picture of someone's face without their permission, so what would the legal status of smart glasses be?

Back from work. We're having to turn customers away for bike repairs: We have two workshops and 5 qualified mechanics. Right now one is on holiday, and two are sick, so the two remaining mechanics are covering both workshops as best they can. Fortunately most customers are fairly understanding.

We've even had to stop referring people to my former colleague's new business because she says she's booked up until mode September. This is fantastic (and very well deserved) but means a lot of disappointed customers.
