Two coffees this morning woke me up after 46 hours without caffeine.

DHL actually turned up this morning and an expensive lunch paying for my reglazed cycling glasses (will they turn up tomorrow?) and ordering the display cabinet off Amazon whilst its still its lowest price for ages.

This expense being due to a direct debit to my card I use online paying off its hefty amount.

Definitely warm this afternoon. Had to shut the fully opening north facing study window for a short while as the breeze had dropped.

A very warm one again today. I thought it was hot when I did the shopping this morning, but then I biked up to see my Dad in hospital in the afternoon...
I'd been given the ward details by my sister, but nothing of that name showed up on the hospital map - turned out they'd renamed a few and the map hadn't been updated.

One advantage of being on a bike is that I could make a quick detour to have a look round the showroom of the local Giant bike dealer. Nothing has been brought...

...yet ^_^

Evening cuppa went down well along with one of two biscuits

Another scorchio and mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well enough, but could've been better. Overslept slightly, leading to a furry madam walking all over me and wanting to know where her breakfast was. So downstairs, fed the cat, made myself a :cuppa: and took it upstairs to do some writing whilst keeping an eye on the athletics from Birmingham.

Did the chores, including putting away all the non-fridgeable shopping from yesterday and picking more tomatoes.

Had a lovely luncheon of a bacon sandwich, greek yoghurt with greengages, and a small pot of tea.

A quiet afternoon was had. Which included sitting in the shade and listening to the cricket. At tea time, I went into town to pick up a few bits that I couldn't get in Tesco. Nipped into Waitrose for a small cucumber, and also picked up some of those lovely chilli and fennel sausages off the counter on YS, as I really enjoyed the pasta ragu I made with those I bought previous week. Also picked up part of a friend's birthday present, and chucked £20-worth of go-juice in the car.

B&M are already putting their Christmas lines out. They have some cool Halloween jim jams which I may treat myself to.

Bumped into the lady who had fostered Madam Boo for CP, so we had a nice catch up.

A tasty supper of cold steamed salmon, potato salad with dill dressing, and green beans with olive oil & parsley.

Had a lovely evening watching the athletics.
