My new bed base finally arrived, which means I get to spend tomorrow trying to dismantle an old wooden box base with nothing more than a large rubber mallet and a hacksaw! lol

Since I got home it's been an evening of prevarication and the 'buy' button has still not been pressed on the bike. Turns out the British Cycling discount only applies to certain items and bikes aren't among them. It's still within budget and a stonking (if expensive) bargain but...

Why do I find it so difficult to spend my hard earned savings?

Sleep on it. And then see how you feel in the morning.

If you can't press "buy" in the morning, just tell yourself that it was a good idea while it lasted, and that you had yourself a bit of a day out. There's absolutely nothing wrong with walking away and keeping the spendables for another time.
