That is Bermuda Triangle level weird. Hope all is well.
Good point. Has anyone heard from @Jenkins (or indeed Felixstowe) since midday?

The key was safely dropped off earlier as part of a very pleasant ride that ended up as being 4x the distance of just doing a straight out and back trip. I got home with time to make a mug of coffee and a slice of toast before plonking myself in the armchair to watch the Dutch Grand Prix. Nothing further will be done this afternoon except for planning a route for a potential ride/lunch/drinks/train home trip on Monday or Tuesday.

@Gravity Aided: He fell through a wormhole, how else can this be explained?

Two wash loads hung out this morning then a Co-op trek for milk.

I had put on the new bike the pedals I had recently bought and put on the indoor cycling thingy. Wary of the right one never seeming to lock onto a cleat I tried and failed to remove the right pedal from the Defy: the intent being to use that instead.

Eventually set off on the new bike, up one climb and then stopped to check dismounting wasn't an issue. It was, my left shoe was locked solid to the pedal

A car driver stopped to see what the issue was and ended up undoing my shoe
Bike wheeled home with the pedal attached shoe bouncing off the pavement.

A trek to Chevin Cycles undertaken in the hope that there might be a way checking the tension of a pedal. Apparently not.

They suggested put new cleats on the shoes
Thinking instead use the left pedal off the Defy which all shoes were previously not a problem with.

No. I've moved on to other exciting things, like fitting a smoke detector in the hallway.
Toast then a new smoke detector.
You burn the toast, it'll still set a new detector off.
Now I've swept and mopped the flat. Judging by the amount of muck I collected, I probably should have done that sooner.
The fitting of the new smoke detector/alarm that messy?

That's why the detector is in the hallway I guess, so with the kitchen door closed the fire can get well established in the kitchen before the detector goes off.
