Gave up trying to find the luggage straps and bought another from a household/tool shop in town that I knew the assistant so at a slight discount.

Had to triple wrap it around the crank and down tube which helpfully strengthened them together. The pedal spanner did trick.
Now to neaten up their ends with black enamel.

Ironing done which included two splendid white shirts for the wedding,mine actually fits without getting a fist between throat and chest.Shoes polished,light tan,with a shoe polish that smells so nice i could wear like aftershave,it's lovely.Now an hour of Spotify Bob's favourites playing i feel a bit better,still blasting though.

My word this wax based shoe polish has taken the yellow tint off these light tan shoes,i really like the slightly darker look now.
