Question!
How do we know we'll get the same person that went away with them, back!

Do we use traditional methods or something more modern?

I could have been cloned but who would want another one of me around? One is bad enough!

Rest is the best cure, usually I return to normal after a short while.

We were going to go to a meeting in a pub about a new scheme starting in the town to repair things for people. My wife had the sense to cancel it. Just being there listening to what was going on would have made things worse. Some of it is down to chronic fatigue, sometimes it is migraines. The way it seems to me is like films of long distance runners who are helped to the finishing line on the verge of collapsing. That is an exaggerated example but in that situation you wouldn't ask them questions and get an instant or reliable answer.
I probably should have noticed earlier on in the day that I was getting a bit confused and shouldn't have walked a mile to and from the Mens Shed. The test ride in the morning included cycling up a fairly steep hill which must have kicked things off.

Good morning from Suffolk where it's been a dull & overcast start to the day. No rain yet despite the radar app showing there should have been.

Coffee has been had and a load of washing is currently on the go. Today should be a quiet one - I need to go shopping for food & travel snacks for Thursday's away day and then the overnight bag needs to be sorted out & restocked with consumables. If it stays dry into the afternoon I might drag the lawn mower out of the shed and cut the weeds down to a lower level - that is if it still works as I seem to remember it was making some strange noises last time I used it some months ago!

I've just been reading the FAQs about tomorrow night's hotel (a Premier Inn Hub) - it doesn't have a kettle in the room  What am I going to do without my morning cuppa? Apparently there is free tea & coffee available in the breakfast area, but I'm not going to go down there in my smalls to get one to take back to bed with me.

Whilst not exactly cloned, it comes close enough. They, the faeries kept the you, whilst sending one of their own back in your form.
The only reliable way to find out, and get you back was to throw you on the fire. They'd not risk being endangered, so the real you would be returned, unharmed.

Traditional methods it is then!
Never did much stock in the modern methods.

Buy a travel kettle.
It'll not be the only time you use it on future trips.
