Another day the weather had not read the script. Already had a load of washing being washed when I realised it was raining. Second wash load never occurred.
Very noisy washer I eventually resolved by opening the front outlet (one very soggy towel) and with a bit of fiddle removing a thin piece of plastic. Hopefully not part of the washer.
The bread bag cable tied in the end to the electric sander did not actually collect anything, hence why the proper ones are fabric.
Gave the "trim" another coat of the old paint and the car had an expensive drink while the second was still a 5.
Sun eventually made an appearance this afternoon and the rain gave up a while later.
Touch of weeding done.

...Rain's passing to the south so the anorak can stay in my backpack.

Optimism is never a good thing where Silverstone is concerned. A little over 2 hours after I posted that, the 🌧️🌧️ started and carried on for about 90 minutes. And the battery in my pocket radio failed as well.

A very good time was had despite everything and thanks to a bit of luck with my parking spot and some fast walking back to the car, I was away within 15 minutes of the race ending and home by 18:30.

Time to put my feet up with a race replay on the TV.

Could go in 'wildlife today' thread but here we are...
Went to a known spot this morning to see Kingfishers and hopefully get some photographs.
8am, damp, snook quietly into a small clump of trees and shrubbery on the opposite bank to where ive seen one perch...just got to position....and one flew off from the very branch ive seen it on before.
Damn...wait quietly, it might come back...5 minutes later one flew out from yhe bank on my side...and gone.
Wait quietly, 30 minutes perhaps and one flew over the lake nearby...damn.
 ah well, spent an hour , no photos, just fleeting glimpses.
