With time to spare while at Starbeck, I had a slow walk up the hill to Harrogate and back with a quick stop at Lidl for a sandwich for later this afternoon.
Anything strike you as unusual for a Lidl? Its apparently just been refurbished somehow.
Not the self serves as they have been in a while.

Sunny morning wet afternoon. Hospital phoned to cancel tomorrow afternoons appointment and offered 9.20 instead. Couldn't do that as I had a meeting at 10. 12 noon instead. Of course later on the meeting at 10 was cancelled.

DPD delivered the new SD card, sports cam claimed over 11hours of space at 4K so thats hopefully the end of changing SD cards on a bench and leaving one there.

Booked the car in for a professional underside derust and protection in November. 4 days they need it.

:hello: From Newcastle where the grey cloud continues.
Drinks and the sandwich have been had, but no coffee yet -I switched the kettle on in the hotel room and the electrics blew taking out the room next door as well! A second base was tried with the same result. The good news is that I've just had a complete new kettle and base supplied and the lights are still on ^_^

I just went for a short late afternoon walk and a cuckoo crow* landed on the roof of my building and started its 2-tone call. There used to be one hereabouts but I never saw it. This one was less shy.

*or jackdaw. Damned if I can tell them apart.

If it’s all black and big it’s a crow, jackdaws are smaller grey black head and chest, black back and wings. They also have stand out pale grey eyes, with a call like a hard 'tchack' sound.

Evening cuppa went down well and I might have had a biscuit or two with it for good measure.

Just about raining

Half asleep here; I meant a British English spellchecker. That's the sort that marks US English and German as "Forrin", and refuses to have any more to do with it.

I'll dig up a German spellchecker when I need one.
They don't make it easy, or straight forward, for you. Do they!
