This is fun - the rail replacement bus has broken down.
Double trek to chemists next to the Co-op for a Covid jab. First time was told I did not qualify for one. Back home checked, having a gluten allergy does it seem no longer qualify.
However when I checked the tablets from the hospital for was a covid jab provided on the NHS the answer came back yes.
So back to the chemists with the tablets and now one left arm feeling a touch odd.
Royal Mail deliveried two packages from the same place, one with a highly expensive lightweight inner tube for hopefully making the saddle bag less explosive looking, and the other a box patches for that inner tube.
Evri subsequently did one of their secretive deliveries which was a Rixen & Kaul Klickfix GoPro Camera Mount. Thought these were discontinued but noted SJS selling them (£29.99) and then found them far less on eBay (12.50 inc postage). Have had a couple of a number of years and so far no sign of failing unlike other GoPro mounts I have had which have had a far more limited life.

Start riding, or hope it's a Brompton.
Sometimes this has the advantage that you're well ahead of the bus, and not crammed in, standing room only with lots of very stressed people.

Slowly trundling my way North-West after a flu injection. They always seem to leave me sore and tired.
Needed coffee at Wetherby, lunch at Barnard Castle and now a snack just outside Alston.
Fortunately I only need to get to a restaurant to meet son no. 2 at 8.30pm as the trundle is turning in nto a plod

Your on your own it's made clear replacement buses wont carry them. Dogs are another issue it's happened to us but the driver let us on. if replacement bus is not suitable they are meant to get you a taxi. Never had to do it though if all else fails bill them for the taxi. A lot depends on if they've given you notice of it a last minute replacement.

On the up-side I've bought an antique painting at auction. It's one of a pair by my great-great-grandfather, who was a Royal Society artist.
Because it needs the match it's not worth that much, so I picked up extremely cheaply.
The match? Ah, I bought that two years ago and it's hung up in my father's house

Afternoon stroll completed and it's still chilly outside
Afternoon B&Q trek to dispose of old sportscam plus its batteries which are increasingly becoming swollen so good timing in getting rid of.
Then Aldi for the squash I should have picked up in Lidl yesterday rather the one I did.
Had to message Lidl on Facebook. I got a message saying heres your digital receipt and the foot it listed all activated as being unused. Result a £2 coupon on the app.
Strava had a wobble claiming I had walked 19 miles north and back. 2.5 in total would be more accurate.
