A sunny, chilly and very blustery day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well. Downstairs, fed the cat, made myself a :cuppa: and settled down with a book to read.

Chores done at a better hour. Have had a quiet day. Hoped to watch the horse racing from Aintree, but the meeting was cancelled. So curled up with the gymnastics on the TV and the action from the FF Festival at Brands on the laptop.

Also popped onto the 'bay to buy a cake day pressie for a dear friend. Spotted a lucky buy given the high silver prices currently (£1.20 per gram for sterling)

Cheese toastie, a kiwi fruit, crisps and a small pot of tea for luncheon.

Afternoon spent reading and keeping tabs on various sports. Made a big pot of vegetable soup.

Just had a bowl of said soup, and now settling down to listen to the US GP on the radio.

That was a very enjoyable day's racing right down to the grand final in which the top 5 were covered by just over half a second. Bodes well for next weekend's Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone. Sunny but bitterly cold in the very strong breeze.

Yet again Octopus have billed me incorrectly, this time without including the figures for my export to the grid (about £35). As my account is massively in credit I'm not going to query it in the expectation that it will be included in the November bill instead. If it isn't, then words will be had.

The evening's hot chocolate has been had and the US F1 GP has been watched (no spoilers from me).

I was confused by the clock on the boiler, seems I never set it to BST. 20 years old so definitely not Wi-Fi.
Think there's just the car to do which is a simple push botton and down arrow job unlike some cars I have had which have required the manual following carefully.
I never change the boiler clock as the heating isn't used during BST. It's been on GMT since it was installed.
