Whoop whoop sold 3 bikes this afternoon so at last I have a bit of room in the garage

good for you!

we have cleaners coming tomorrow. I might spend some time in the basement, cleaning, shredding & bagging stuff to throw out, recycle & donate

Wifey is also willing to let me sell her vintage 1970s 10 speed bike ... so I should take some photos

The evening's hot chocolate has just been had and a couple of beers will be opened in a little while to round off a very good day.

The late start to the day and waiting for the washing machine to finish before putting the bedding on the clothes horse to dry meant that I didn't get out until nearly midday. Despite that I was able to get in a fairly rapid 37 miles under the wheels in just under 2.5 hours (including stops) in the sunshine & warmth of the afternoon. There was still time for a bit of faffing around when I got home and to have a shower before peak rate electricity cut in. Not a lot else has been done other than sitting around listening to the radio, reading and relaxing.

Got my first one nearly fifty years ago, and I'm still here.

30 for mine, told to take it easier and quit the 60+ hour work weeks. But I have outlived all of my male relatives(except my father), and worked longer into old age than my father. My doctor told me I can expect about a decade longer life, which is a real long time. We were the two who got exercise and were athletic, it seems to help.

Up until recently I was the only one on the male side of the family, both sides, that wasn't driving everywhere.
Two were farmers, so got their workout on the farm. One had a few "years off" working over here on the building sites, before heading back home to the farm, to take things easy. The other regularly put in 18 hour days over the years. And this "big town relative" has managed a few with him, and his neighbours, over the years.

Did 90+ weeks for a little over a month, before they realised it was too expensive to carry on letting us do them. Breaks not included in those hours.
