Afternoon office visit for paperwork and a less than exciting video explanation of a new document
I summed it up as thought it was good when they wrote it but...

I have contacted the seller and he has noticed that there has been no sign of movement of the frame since it arrived at the depot on Thursday evening. It is looking a bit ominous! Flashbacks of DC Lanes ex Woodrup frame which went on a bit travel. It went to London whilst another chap's frame went to where mine was supposed to go to Leeds. That took a while to sort out.

Once the kitchen floor had dried, the chairs and other bits were put back in place, work surfaces wiped down and a hot drink finally had. By this time the weather had improved with a little bit of sunshine and no rain heading this way, so on with the boots and out for a 4 mile walk round the footpaths and bridleways while catching up with some more of the podcast backlog - it's now down to about 4 hours worth with another new one to be added on Wednesday.

Another evening has passed of doing very little except putting my feet up with the football on the radio in the background.

The evening's hot chocolate has just been finished with the last chocolate digestive in the pack as a treat. I'll have to decide whether to open the custard creams or shorties next when I have my morning coffee.

It's been a day of sunshine and the occasional shower here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, but it took me a long time to drop off. As a result, I overslept somewhat. Ooops. Anyways, downstairs, fed the cat, made myself a :cuppa: and took it upstairs to do some writing. Untangled the latest tangle in this chapter. Also did some computer-based admin.

Did the chores at a better hour, and rustled up some ingredients for soup. As the showers seemed to have passed through, I deferred luncheon and went out into the garden to make the best of the daylight. Today's task was stripping the ivy from the tree that got skittled by storm Boelo. In doing so, I discovered it was actually two trees. There's a smallish oak tree tangled up in the branches of the much larger cherry. Did a good bit on that - it's satisfying to see the progress.

By the time I got back in, the agricultural engineering place had got back to me with an estimate for the chainsaw service. They've given me a worst-case-scenario estimate if troubleshooting isn't straightforward. The standard service is within the ballpark I was expecting. And turnaround is about three days. So I'll drop the saw in on my way to Tesco tomorrow teatime, and fingers crossed it should be ready to pick up on Monday.

Had a lovely luncheon of a chicken & bacon sandwich, a banana and a small pot of tea.

Got the fire going and did some more writing. After having watched the early evening news, I made a pot of leek & potato soup. Spent the evening catching up on some stuff on the i-player and listening to the football.

Supper was a reprise of last night's curry, as well as a big bowl of the soup. Which is really tasty.

It's a bit chilly, so I've had to break out the fluffy socks.
