Decided to do the shopping by bike and took the longer route which turned out to be the wrong decision, especially given the strength of the breeze along the seafront. Some kite surfers making the best of the conditions and getting impressive air off the wave tops.
Home to get some bacon out of the freezer for tea, then a quick catch up with mum by phone followed by feet up for a while with a coffee, radio and a book. I think I'll wrap up warm and go out for a short walk in a few minutes.

They have just taken an egg made it round , used same foil wrap and put it in a box. So you can't hang them they are too big and anyway if you did at £3 a pop it's an expensive way to do it.

Doing the park-and-ride approach today with my Giant FCR wasn't sensible. It's a flat bar road bike, with 52x11 road gearing, and I had the front wheel slide out on wet cobbles 
Cue an unceremonious dismount where I managed to get one leg down whilst the other slid sideways.
Given I was going the wrong way up a one-way street at the time*, with police at the other end watching, at least I provided them with some entertainment.
* It's one way plus an opposite cycle lane for 90% of the cobbles, then just stops as it directs cyclists over a bridge south-wards. Where else was I supposed to go?

Well the reason given for the delay was that they were busy. 
I wonder if they realise that Christmas is coming and things are bound to get busier! Well going from my experience I don't think they know what they are doing and presents may arrive just in time in Christmas 2027.
