I am going to buy tickets for Scotland v Australia rugby match and was wondering if anyone could offer advice re the 'best' seats? By 'best' I mean the ones which have a decent view as well as offering atmosphere and seeing the players close up.

I was thinking lower tier of the West Stand might be the 'best' but I'm only saying this as it appears this is the section with most 'sold' out areas.

Can anyone advise? Here's a link to the seating if it helps point me in the right direction:

Thanks.

I think that the west stand is the side with the running track and so you're further away from the pitch.

We've been a couple of times to see Wales beat Scotland, and we usually try for the upper East stand, and try for the sections between the two 22's. Cost about £65 each last last time we went as far as I remember, but well worth it (except for 2006 when Wales lost which meant it was a waste of £130!)

Thanks MichaelM B) I have not been to Murrayfield for many many years  and I had forgotten about the running track never mind worrying what side it was on!

Although I always used to go to upper tier when I was a regular 5 Nations attendee as I feel it offers a better 'tactical' view I think Mrs Noodley would quite like to be on the lower tier close to the action as she has never been to a rugby match....and I might get on the telly waving to the camera

I shall discuss it with her when she gets home.

Following discussion we have gone with MichaelM's advice and got tickets in upper tier of the East Stand :hungry:
