Murray's not my favourite bloke but I suspect he's decent enough under all the mid-Atlantic laconic veneer. Some of us may have appeared nobbers if we were multi-millionaire, talented sportspersons and were interviewed ad nauseam from the age of 18.
I'm mainly glad he's won so the pundits and press can stop dragging up the "76 years since Fred Perry blah blah blah..." cobblers .

I remember a teacher of mine once commenting on all the stories about what a waster George Best was, getting big-headed and blowing all that talent on wine & women and generally pissing it up a wall, saying: "You take a 17 year old otherwise ordinary kid out of a Belfast slum and turn him overnight into a massively wealthy international icon, and he gets a bit full of himself and goes off the tracks. Well who would have expected it?"

No I'm not So disappointed PaulB I'm actually f*****g over the moon he won.

That comment was in frustration as I so wanted Murray to win his first grand slam.

Now jog on.
I'll be jogging nowhere and don't believe you've had a highly suspicious change of heart now that he's won whereas you were clearly relishing in him 'choking...again' last night.

Now pull your pud.
