Murray's not my favourite bloke but I suspect he's decent enough under all the mid-Atlantic laconic veneer. Some of us may have appeared nobbers if we were multi-millionaire, talented sportspersons and were interviewed ad nauseam from the age of 18.

I remember a teacher of mine once commenting on all the stories about what a waster George Best was, getting big-headed and blowing all that talent on wine & women and generally pissing it up a wall, saying: "You take a 17 year old otherwise ordinary kid out of a Belfast slum and turn him overnight into a massively wealthy international icon, and he gets a bit full of himself and goes off the tracks. No I'm not So disappointed PaulB I'm actually f*****g over the moon he won.
That comment was in frustration as I so wanted Murray to win his first grand slam.
