I came across a bit of music today. I know rod stewart version of the song but wondered what you thought of this. I am not a big fan of Rod Stewart felt he basically killed the song.

However, imho these covers are better.

this song was written by Elvis Costello for Robert Wyatt. Costello released his own version of the song a year later (i think!)... and frankly murdered his own song... but then again, Robert Wyatt is a hard act to follow.
