I've read that statistically you will only get rained on 12 times a year if you commute at normal times.
It's the 20th now and I've notched up 6 - 6 more to go and I'm home and dry until next year!

I walked to and from university for 3 years in Manchester/Salford and I only got soaked about 3 times! I wouldn't say that drizzle was unheard of, but that wasn't really much of a problem.

That statistic was clearly not collated by anyone anywhere near the west coast of Scotland. Here, it is more likely that you might stay dry 12 times a year. If you are lucky

I agree OP, cycling the the rain is great fun in summer. Worse than a hard stool that wont pass in winter, especially when you are caught out thinking it was going to be sunny all day

I am gaining weight but in the bad way , no time for weekend rides atm .Been trying to grease my wheel bearings since before x mas so that is todays job to squeeze in .
