Overhearing a conversation last night, did make me have to bite my lip. Person A. “I bought a crappy Boardman Team Carbon a couple of years back, it cost me 600 quid, I’ve just spent Thousands on a Cannondale Synapse, and relegated the crappy Boardman to a winter bike” Person B. “ how’s the Synapse”. Person A. “Not as quick as the Boardman, I’m well peed off”.

As someone who's just ordered a Bianchi Oltre XR3 to upgrade from a Boardman Team Carbon, I really hope I don't have the same reaction!

The XR3 is one of a very small number of ( sub 8-10 grand )bikes, that’s actually better than the Boardman, in my experience.

I'm partly with subject of the thread. Never rated Boardmans offerings especially highly myself.
They were / are a bit hit and miss. The bikes sub Team Carbon are a bit ‘meh’ Team Carbon / Pro Carbon / Elite, are punching way way above their weight.
