Just went into the city center to pick up a new radio for work (want to see if a cheap DAB will cut out the interferance and give us some decent stations).. so walking back towards the buses and look in Maplin's window..

They only have a Muvi clone for 50 quid (southampton store). So I go inside and ask the lad if I can have a gander. 25fps 640 resolution, bright red and with some "professional" sports mounts. I laughed at the pro bit, even the lad found it funny. ;)

Anyway, thought I'd give a heads up. If I had the cash on me I'd have bought one..

Don't know why but my one's battery only lasted just over an hour today....I have an emergency battery pack so I may charge it in my locker at work so I can get the full commute.

I was thinking though....even with this problem it's a super little camera.

I hardly notice it on my helmet.(fnarr fnarr);)

When I played the files back on Gomplayer all I got was sound.Played it on Windows media player and got sound and vision.

Perhaps it's best to film when there is a lot of action though.....Like going through Cannon Street in the rush hour.

Whilst the Muvi Veho is under discussion, can anyone point me towards some drivers for it? Their support site seems down and I want to try out a camera I have borrowed.

Don't need one unless you want to use it as a webcam.

If you plug it in to a PC or MAC it will show up as a drive - you can then open or transfer files as you would with a USB stick or similar.

Sorry V, got your message, just haven't had time to reply.

I didn't need drivers at all, but then I'm using plain old XP and a Mac.

edit: Try it with Vox switched off - that appears to change the way the camera is detected. I'll have a look for my CD tonight.

Bingo! - no need to look out the drivers now! Thanks Coco and sorry for slight thread hijack.

Again I only got one hours battery life...No good for a days commuting....even the emergency battery pack didn't work.

I never really like these Li-ion batteries anyway.

I'll see how long I get on mine when its charged. Just bought one today for a saddle post play, etc.

Oh and I think you can upgrade batteries sometimes.... might have a gander later
