After nearly 300 odo miles of commuting my "trusty" old stead gave way last week.
On a 20mph slight up hill my front axle snapped on the way home from work, because I was out of the saddle I was launched over the bars breaking my collarbone, opposite arm and tearing up my knees and hands on the road. It's taken a week to get back onto laptop as both arms are in slings, humph.
So my new aims are fix myself, fix bike (or replace if its getting that weak) then the hardest of all convince wife that cycling is not all that bad!
Thanks to everyone who stopped, whoever they were, the ambulance and the A&E staff at Treliske.
Also need to come up with a way to thank the Mrs for looking after 99% of what I need (I can wipe my own before you ask) as well as looking after our toddler and 12 week old baby all at once- suggestions welcome!?
