Right.......the diet starts NEXT week. Before that I am having some serious doorstep bacon sarnies (that's butties if your not posh like as how I am).
What's for definite is/are
Fresh white Tiger bread......doorstop thickness.
Butter....spread thick.
Some more butter.
Bacon......lots of it (grilled cos I'm watching my callory intake^_^)
Optional and to be decided are.
  • Should bread be toasted as it's fresh & crusty ?
  • Egg or
  • Mushrooms or
  • Tomatoes or
  • mushrooms AND tomatoes or
  • Brown sauce ?
All and any suggestions will be greatfully received and cogitated on.
Oh! for 'afters' we have 3 (yes 3) large strawberry & fresh cream tarts.

If ayone wants my address I will supply by email (after I've eaten everything).

I love my bacon butties ( I aint posh) bread toasted and with mushrooms and brown sauce. Just never, ever use brown bread for a bacon buttie, it just isn't right.

Your bread looks curiously like lemon chiffon pie to me. Still, it takes all sorts.

Me, I toast the bread lightly, fry the bacon till crispy and leave the butter out (I prefer eating it in its own fat) and add a mildish mustard, and other sauces depending on my condimentality at the time. Then for afters I repeat the above.
