Duvel (always good to have a big blond in goal)

Orval, Westmalle Dubbel, Rochefort 12, Achel bruin (parsimonious monks at the back)

Drie Fonteinen Oude Geuze, Westvleteren 12, De Struise Pannepot, De Ranke XX (fizz on one wing, bite on the other; thoroughbred class in the center alongside the young pretender)

Westmalle Tripel and Liefmans Goudenband (classic workhorse alongside temperamental genuis)

Is there a reserve goal keeper ?
If not, I nominate mannequin pis - his hand is always on the ball but his aim is variable.

I was just thinking of one of my favourite forgotten films from a while ago - "Man Bites Dog" - a belgian film, written and directed by Remy Belvaux.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103905/

I was saddened to see he'd comitted suicide 7 years ago. Off topic really, just made me sad.

Now that is a dark film! Very funny, but very dark. I went to see it at the Art House cinema attached to Aston Uni when it was released in the UK with the now Mrs Dr Bollo. If I remember, it only just scraped past the censors.

Without giving any spoilers, it really draws you in to the main character until a certain event in the film just makes you wish you hadn't. Certainly on my list of most memorable films, but it's unlikely ever to see the light of day on a mainstream channel.

Real shame about the suicide. The guy obviously had talent.

This is my favorites from uglybelgiumhouses.

Is it one of dellzeqq's creations?

There are so many good 'uns - I like the one with the pylon leg in the front garden.

There was one yesterday where the owners have a postbox which is a replica of the house: I saw the same thing just outside Bruges a couple of weeks ago and it made me laugh at the time.
