Anyone got a spare fixed rear wheel.......... ????

Otherwise the Ribble will be unleashed on the commutes next week........ there will be serious SCR scalps - cos I'll be getting a totally wet ar$e.......

Frank doesn't do commutes.... cos it will be at the destination before I've clipped in....has a 'dimension drive' I believe.............;)

Back to ice and snow I'm afraid by middle of next week .

That must have been some bang fossy. Couldn't you use a flat piece of stainless steel and hammer to knock the ding out? I did that on an old pair of Campag ali aero rims I used to use for TTing. Did a reasonable job in saving the rim on a couple of occasions. It was certainly a much cheaper option than a new wheel!!!

vice and any kind of soft wood (balsa is a bit TOO soft)

Easy to apply gradual pressure, easy to fashion something on the fly to apply pressure where it is needed.

With care, it's possible.

bend it back in and use them for a second fixed, then get some new wheels for the good fixed

Like your style.....

Afraid the rims had a hard 12 months, so I'll just replace it.......

Hmmm need a spare fixed bike :biggrin:

My daughter doesn't quite get it - 'ride one of your other bikes' when she's been told she's coming to the bike shop this morning !

Those '33s have slightly more flex than the open pros dont they? I've just started thinking, have kind of thrashed my opens about a fair bit too. Have been avoiding the biggies though lately.

Don't forget to install new brake blocks on your new rim.

New rim, new brake blocks -wtf. Get it bent back and you don't need to replace the blocks. There you go saved you a pile of money and for the advice I will only charge you a tenner. I'll pm you my paypal details.
