Oaf on a Bike
So taking a look at Strava App i decided to weigh my bike before a short ride and was a little suprised to see 3stone 7lbs (22.5kg) which seems a bit crazy for an aluminum 700c hybrid - even with front suspension. Id completely ignored weight when buying bits on the basis that a) its extra training and b) im around 115kg so wouldnt notice it much. So M+ tyres, Carradice SQR bag, Abus Granit lock, lights+batteries, spares/tools etc.

Im really suprised at how heavy its got, can I use it as an excuse for struggling on hills?

Geez, even for a real chunky hybrid thats way excessive. If you can get that up a steep hill you deserve a medal!!!

I dred to think what my commuting bike's weight fully laden and I am not a lightweight. 1x suspension front 1x rigid. I climb hills ok but not at a great speed {who does}. I dont call it a struggle! It is putting things into prospective. On my road bikes thats a different matter.....
