As I said guys I know nothing about bikes and I be at intend to ride off road. I'm currently just taking a break I've cycled 10 miles so far so maybe it's best I get a road bike. I'm happy to sell this bike and get a road bike, what do you guys think?

No. Ride the bike and enjoy it while you learn about cycling and build fitness then go and buy whatever bike suits your interest. You can learn a lot of cycling lore by watching GCN videos on YouTube.

You've had the bike three days?

Get it set up to fit you, pump up the tyres and ride!

If, after 6 weeks, you fancy a change go for it.

If you sell now and buy something else maybe you enjoy buying and selling more than cycling. If so become a dealer.😁

Hybrids are fine for road use (it’s what they are best at). Riding it as is will be OK but the knobbly tyres will make it a bit harder work. I’d give it a go as it is for a few weeks, then if you like it, fit some smoother tyres as suggested above - you’ll really notice the difference then and prob like it even more!

1 trick is to look on the sides of the tyres, they will have a pressure range on them e.g. inflate to 45 - 65psi take them up to the top figure for riding on the road.

I'd lock out the suspension - it's not needed for road riding and will make it harder work, especially uphill.

I know some of you might not agree but I done a swap with this bike, it's 100% mint condition and it came with a pump, spare saddle, front and back light and a puncher & tool kit. I've read nothing but good things about this bike and I think it will suite me very well, as i only paid £120 im very happy... Can't wait to ride it.

Doesn't really matter who thinks what on here but for what it's worth, I'd have done the same. 👍

Both bikes would have done the job. The Btwin has a good name gets good reviews. The Btwin is going to be better on tarmac but not so versatile as the 13.

Do some googling on how to do a bike fit now.If it's badly adjusted it will cause you unnecessary pain as your mileage goes up.

I commute (or at least did and hope to again) on the drop bar version of the BTwin; IMHO you've got a good bike there, enjoy :okay:
