Hey Folks!!

On Friday there i went for a nice little cycle to Glasgow airport to pick up some music l left on a plane earlier in the week. This was after upteen fruitless phone calls and plenty fustration trying to find out who if anybody had it. Eventually it was tracked down and i was pretty chuffed to get it back.

However on the way home, my rear spoke snapped, whipped round and endded up busting up the arm of the rear mech. So bike out of action, 10 miles from home dressed in lycra in a busy shopping street in Paisley. Great!

Got a taxi home 16 bucks!!! and now i need to get a new rear mech.

Cant really do much but shrug the shoulders and smile at this one. the music was near and dear to my heart but so is the bike and my dignity.

Does any one have similar stories of such fustratingly bitter sweet events

I have a bittersweet memory of doing exactly what your avatar 'bloke' is doing rockus, at speed a few weeks ago, and leaving parts of my face ground into the Edgware Road!
"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" costs loads of money and becomes decidedly frustrating to manage.

OH man! sounds rather painful. Although it would have been a totally great buzz before though.

I definately suscribe to your motto, i don't know how anyone could be a bike mechanic, i get annoyed just working on my bike sometimes

Hope you made a full recovery though, and have you tried that move again?

After a layoff the bike with a bug, gradually build up some strength and get back in the saddle. Great stuff - take it easy too . Get home, sore throat - another bug and more of a layoff . I just wasn't fair, I didn't do anything wrong

The story of my life since mid December. I think I've finally beaten it this time for the third time of asking
