Have you tried doing a reboot? Not sure about Blackberry's as its the 21st centruy now, but I'm sure there's still instructions out there on how to do it.

The mobile equivalent of 'turn it off & turn it on again', in case you didn't know, is take the battery out & leave it for an hour then put it back in again. Worth a try.

Blackberry Rust At first, red spots appear on the top of the blackberry, followed by yellow spots on the underside eventually turning black.

Shove it in the airing cupboard, or on a radiator overnight, see how it goes. Just make sure the dog can't get it, mine stopped working after a K9 reset...

gooseberry are a pale colour before going green if that helps

Its a common problem, look up blackberry white screen of death, theres a fix for it, mine did it once, the nerd in IT sorted it from a yootoob vid he found.
