It is only a number, and I can be a bit sniffy about in truth, but I do find what I shall call a correlation. That word seems to allow me to have a degree of 'maybe' in my grumpy old sod pessimism!

I've got a Garmin watch too. When my body battery is low double digit or single digit, I know it's been a hard day.

I also can see what type of foods cause extra stress after eating too.

It normally takes two days of recovery to bounce back or a very early night with good sleep 💤💤💤

Correlation is a good word. I'm finding that the watch is reporting pretty accurately how tired I am feeling at any given point. I'm warming to it in honesty and beginning to find it useful as a monitoring device. I doubt I'll ever use it solely to decide on whether to undertake an activity or not but the info is undoubtedly helpful. Ymmv

I've posted on this subject previously. On occasion when I have come down with a bug/ lurgy, I've retroactively looked at my " body battery " on Garmin Connect. My resting heart rate and other physiological numbers are usually very consistent, but looking back I can see them starting to change a couple of days before I became symptomatic.

I've no idea what it means but I think that's there are two possibilities. Either it's time to get yourself measured for your wooden overcoat or your watch battery is flat.

I can see that I may well start to take more notice of what my Garmin watch is saying, and maybe start to use it in a pre-emptive way.

I had a fairly active day yesterday (by my standards) and was down to 22 at bedtime. My sleep didn't recharge me fully (according to Garmin, and I'll read up on how they calculate those figures) and I was only at 78 when I woke. Down to 47 now and I'm not feeling inclined to go out and do a 4 hour bike ride - which is just as well, it's darned cold out there.

I take my garmin watch readings with a pinch of salt, but it does seem to pick up illness, a night on the beer etc as people have said.

Last time I got on a plane I was checking what it said about my stress level, which went up as the plane was getting ready to take off. Its probably just looking at an increased heart rate, and I don't need a watch to tell me I am a bit tense, but I like playing with it anyway.
