Seems you atrying to convince yourself of these facts! ^_^

I am not on my Cycling log but my Target in Garmin is 6k, looks like I will beat it but I am TOTALLY with you on the bold statment, 6k for me represents an addicition from a starting point of close to zero. I have been accused of being OTT with my miles.. In fact I even created a thread about it.. http://www.cyclechat.net/threads/occd-i-think-i-have-it-do-you.103196/

YES!!! Hahaha, and I will not be convinced or tempted otherwise... it will all go to pot..

And yes, its very true, no matter what it is, its still great and a constant step in the right direction. Good work all round.

You have the best cycling months still to do as well, always find July, August, September and for some reason October are good cycling months.

Yeah i think they were my best months last year

mine was like that, 800 ish first year, 1400 last year and so far on 1379! plus i have to commute by bike as no car but im thinking of stretching the commute out a bit!

Thats good going also, i have a car but try not to use it as much as possible :bicycle:

November (or at least last November was) is a decent month. It only really gets properly cold in Jan/Feb so you can cycle pretty much up to xmas.

During the winter there are good opportunities to cycle, but they often don't correspond with my time off. I had just under 2 weeks holiday at Christmas, and the last week of 2011 and the first 2 of 2012 I managed to get a few miles in. Whilst working my time is quite tightly timetabled and if I do have an opportunity to start later it may well be poor weather. I'm starting a new job in early July and I'm hoping it will be better.

My target for the year was fairly ambitious and I'm likely to be chasing it a bit, but am still quite hopeful I'll make it.

Red line is where you should be to reach your yearly target.
Orange line is where your total was at the same time last year.

I set my annual target at a slightly ambitious 13000km. I was well ahead of that, and due to break 10000km in July, when I might have revised the target. But I had an off, and an operation, so I was effectively off the bike for a couple of months. I reckon I'm about 2000km behind where I would have been. The good news is that I'd revised my September target down from the usual 1000km to 750km, but managed to get to the 1000km anyway.

Thanks Ianrauk. I take it this year is a Jan to Dec year , and not 12 months from when I started (a couple of months ago)?
I should be able to make my target.

Yes, Jan to Dec...
You have some way to meet your ticker target.

Means 3 x 700+ mileage months.
Best of luck to you.
