norton ave. near gleadless>?

It happened on Ridgeway Road coming up to Manor Top from Gleadless Townend.

I normally cut through the housing estate and arrive futher along that road (after the tracks) but I avoided it because of the icey back roads!

I also freewheel over tracks. Recently I watched as my gfd's son smack his nuts on the top tube after I told him not to peddle. Fair play to him though he managed to stay on the bike as it bucked, but ouch!

I came off on the tram tracks in Sheffield earlier last year. It really put me off cycling for a while - don't let that happen to you! I think most people who cycle in Sheffield come off at some stage - either your wheel slips on wet tracks, or you get a wheel stuck in the groove. It's not made any easier by impatient motorists trying to overtake who do not understand the necessity of crossing the lines at an angle as close as possible to 90 degrees...
