Hi,
I'm thinking of doing a tour from Birmingham to Nice, taking up to 3 weeks if necessary. My primary concern is the date period I have; Sat 17th Oct to Sat 7th Nov - I'd use the Sunday to train it back via TGV to Paris, then Eurostar, then Virgin.
Can anyone advise if passing over the hills of Provence and the lower Alps en route to Nice (direct from Caen or Le Havre) is feasible at that time of year? I'm worried about snow and what have you rendering it impossible. An alternative would be to cycle to Barcelona, hugging the E coast to avoid the Pyrenees, but I've never done this before.
Thanks.
