But does the 67yr old male weigh in at 110kg and would that be his first ever TT

Just asking like ^_^
No, see jo look at it like this: never mind the weight, say you are 37 now eh? If you only ever go as fast as you did last Sunday for the next 30 years you will be ahead of the VTTA curve by 2 seconds in 2044.
Plus if you record every ride in such detail as this one you will encourage/diminish the competition.
Innit?

Describes my first TT almost to a "T". And yes, the hotshots go by like steam trains (or missiles), though I think it's fun to see them up close.

I've never been any good TTs, but one evening did manage to win my "division": riders with hairy legs (there were 2 of us in a field of ~20).

Just to add to my write up above - i was using a standard road bike, not a super duper TT bike

Before you buy your low-pro, carbon N+1, try and reach your max on your standard bike, by adding clip on tri bars and wearing an aero helmet etc. Once your times have levelled out, you can the switch to a TT bike. You should go faster with the new bike, but you only get that gain once and you don't want to take all the gains too quickly as it gets harder and harder with each event to find that little extra and a new PB.

Good luck for the season.
Mine will be starting in a few weeks time and the club has a restriction that we have to ride our standard road bikes for the 1st 2 events and I'll be riding my commute bike - a fixed with a 44 * 15 gear.

bravo for doing whilst some of us just think about it

wish i was brave enough to have a go
go do it biggs - i took some advice from our onsite experts in TT @Rob3rt and went from there

i have to be honest though, i had no pre-race nerves for some reason, some of my other race colleagues did, but i was just really looking forward to going b**ls out for nearly 30mins and seeing what time i did - i didn't get anywere near my target time, but now i have a base to work on and can go from there.

next race is sat march 22nd and then i have another at a closed circuit event at castle coombe on april 6th

Ah yes the 1st TT is like a trial by fire (fire in the legs from acid), I remember it well. It does get better and when you learn to pace correctly you can finish strong rather than just surviving to the end. Who cares what time you get as long as you are getting better against yourself each time.
