It's relatively hilly round my way but I went quite low to help increase my cadence too as I had a tendency to grind away in a high gear. Can't believe the difference the chain has made, the old 1 was a clarks special from halfords that I got in an emergency to get the bike back together, even mickled it creaked, squeaked and groaned and just didn't feel right. Couldn't see any stiff links, drive train is smooth as butter and silent now
