My hands are freezing

-2 on todays cycle,couldn`t warm my hands up at all.Currently wearing BBB winter gloves but poor thermal qualities.What you all wearing?

Is it comfy wearing 2 pairs of gloves? I have large hands and imagine I might struggle to change gear or brake.

castelli as underliners --spring/summer there fine but now too cold and some thermal gloves from sports directs was looking to get some sealskinz in a minute but not sure mixed review on them

Can't be any harder than trying to brake on drops with freezing cold hands....

My OH suffers from very cold hands, and the winter gloves she had weren't enough for her. She's now bought a pair of Gore Alp-X windstopper gloves, and they seem to be doing the trick. She finds wearing undergloves makes her hands colder, unless the outer gloves are very loose, which makes it difficult to use the controls.

Also, if you're getting cold hands, make sure your body and neck are warm. If either of these get cold, your brain will start to restrict blood flow to your hands and feet.

I really suffer riding in the cold, my core stays fine mostly (thanks to my pie intake), but my fingers get really really cold cycling when the temperature is around zero in various winter gloves. I read a load of reviews and went for some Sealskinz lobster type gloves and so impressed with them. Lidl/Aldi winter gloves felt next to useless (for me), same with cheap windproof motorbike gloves, but the Sealskinz are like warm little sleeping bags for my hands. I went for a 15 miler in maybe 6C to test them and they were too warm, but around zero they feel really nice and snug. http://www.highonbikes.com/catalog/...skinz-winter-handlebar-mitten-lobster-gloves/ I have no idea how well they work controlling road bike shifters, but theyre great on flat bar, aside from looking ridiculous.

May be worth it - all joking aside, it is dangerous if your hands are so cold you can't brake, or you can't apply enough pressure on a hill to stop.

Aldi winter gloves at the minute. If it gets really really cold then Altura Night Visions which were sufficient to minus 15 over the winter of Jan10 and Dec10

When it gets this chilly I use my winter motorcycle gloves. Warm, waterproof and if I do come off they have a good resistance to damage
