After riding this old 1978 Carlton for donkeys' years ....
I finally took delivery of this 2012 Bianchi Impulso Veloce ....
Its an absolutely lovely ride especially going up the hills and the gear shifters are a dream ....
However, by the end of 40 miles my lower back was aching a bit. I think its because the modern riding position is more aggressive than with my old bike. I shall continue to ride it for a week and if my lower back is still aching I'll consider raising the handlebars a little to give a slightly more relaxed riding position.
