Got myself a late 80's Colnago frame in a part exchange with a mate for my recently aquired 70's BSA. They're both ropey old bikes but I built the Colnago up with all the gear off the BSA today and rode over to a mate's for dinner tonight. The bars are too narrow and the wrong shape and the saddle is too high but the ride over there was sublime and the ride home just now was the best bike ride I've had for months. About 24months. When I got home I didn't stop, I just carried on. I haven't owned a proper road bike for a decade, being into mountain bikes for ever. I'd forgotten how awesome road bikes are. Wickedest.
