I've ordered my new bike on the C2W scheme. It was a toss-up between the Boardman CX Team and the Cube Cross-Race. Unfortunately, for the Cube I would have had to wait 'til March '13, so I've plumbed for the Boardman.

I should collect it on Wed or Thurs next week. Hopefully with a set of SKS Bluemels 'Race' guards fitted and some other extras I can hopefully get through Halfords.

Visited my local Halfords today, only to be told that most of the things 'list' were internet only items

I'm awaiting a phone call on Monday to let me know if these bits can be delivered

Guess we'll wait and see...

Envious

I have to wait until February before I can apply again, no idea what I want, but look forward to going around the cycle shops in January annoying shop assistants:becool:

Ooo, I was looking at the Cube Cross Race about 30 minutes ago. Although I've been looking at the Boardman CX for a while too.

I got one of these on last years C2W, and I love it.^_^ Got SKS Mudguards and a Topeak pannier rack. One thing I found was that due to the extra brake levers space on the handlebars is a bit limited for fitting lights and computers, so depending on your setup you may need something like this.

When you get it the brakes will probably squeak and rub. This technique works a treat for fettling them.

Enjoy :bicycle:

Possibly... But the Cross Race is a Cube. ;)

I've still to try the Tricross with discs, but I think I'd be looking at discs as a must-have on my next CX bike.

Whoops - I spoke too soon :cursing:

Bloody Halfords; they'd ordered me a bike to be transferred from another store, but the store sold it. They then arranged for another bike to come in from a different store & when it arrived it needed a load of components changing & the frame and forks were all scratched... FFS!

I'm now not going to get my bike 'til mid-November :cursing: :cursing: :cursing:
