So, got this bike 2nd hand. Put on new saddle, new bar tape (there is blue on the seat hence blue bar tape) and new brake cables, new front brake and new stem (most of these just to adjust the bike to my body) and i think it's good to go. Waiting for the guy to bring the cross tyres round, it's got road tyres on it at the moment.

Bought it for £300, spend £100. it's £1k in the shop and is a current model.

Good looking machine Buggi, but it is a bit off keeping it in your kitchen!

It should be in the lounge. ;)

don't be silly. it just followed me in there because it was lonely. It has it's own bedroom

By the way, if anyone wants to help me out on how i'm going to explain to my mother why i've bought a new bike when i'm in loads of debt i would be eternally grateful.

Ahh that old chestnut!

Well for me as my mother is terminally ill, I informed her it will cover many miles in aid of charity then it gained an inaugural blessing. I spent a lot as it's a bike for life, can't say more than that really.
