Look what someone did to two lovely Weeping Willow trees. One of our favourite butty stops.

Besides all the people here also going nuts while pruning, this spring we had an early, long warm stretch which made everything bud early, followed by a bad frost, which killed a lot of new growth. Most trees are recovering, but some look really badly damaged, with only a few green leaves nearer the ground, and the rest of the tree still brown and dead-looking. Some of the worst hit are the Catalpa (bean) trees.

Will this tree recover? Looks doubtful... :-(
