Yes, my 11lb additional weight gained over the alcohol and excessive food season has made by 32 inch trousers a little bit less relaxed as well. I went out at the weekend to buy some new jeans and decided it was pointless until I had my weight back to an accetable level. For me, the size is 32 waist, 34 leg. I used to be 30 / 34 and have been as low as 28 when I was doing serious training, but buying off the peg trousers at the size was a continual problem.

My 32" trousers stretched to over 40" a long time ago. Unfortunately, I've stretched even more than that...!

My bathroom scales seem to be playing up since Christmas, i'm sure they read 15st13 before, showing 16st4 now.

Yes, fraid so. I am now on a strict no alcohol and no cakes diet. Not touched a drop since about 3 am on 1 Jan 10. I am going to see how long I can keep this up. Turbo sessions in front of the tele are not good - god I hate the white stuff.

The scales in the gym are broken.

Before Christmas, I was 13st exactly. After Christmas I was 13st 5lbs.

The mirror in the changing room is broken too.

Before Christmas, it showed me exactly as I really am, i.e. without love-handles! After Christmas, showed me with love-handles!

Now, however, the scales have me at 13st 3lbs. Someone has obviously repaired them a little, but not enough. Same goes for the mirror.

Don't worry it will all fall away when the serious cycling gets going .
I always pile weight on this time of year .Then stop stuffing the face with xmas cake homemade, sweets ,choccie .But this year did not drink that much .So i got a bit of a start on it .
