The guy had no clue whatsoever that I was there until I tooted. He got a shock, then stopped and held his hand up in apology. Didn't even look right once as far as I could tell, watching his head, he was busy looking ahead and then left. If he had looked, I've no idea how he'd missed 960 lumens on flash.

Yeah, GoPro. It's not the final mounting location, as I intend having that as my rear-facing camera. I'm really waiting on the battery backpack for it, and the UPd code to flip the image in camera.

How could I possibly be any more hiviz than with a 960 lumen strobe? It's the sort of light that has people complaining about how we might blind drivers and cause them to crash.

Unfortunately, some drivers would cheerfully pull out into the path of a luminous orange, double-articulated lorry with sixteen headlights ... that's how pile-ups happen!

+1 the difference in SMIDSY like incidences between wearing & not wearing a high-viz jacket is near zero in my experience. Just a mere USE Joystick (240 lumen but the same surface brightness as BMs light just over 1/4 the area) on strobe however eliminates the vast majority of SMIDSYs if they actually look in your direction.
