I got a big screened and powerful Windows Phone last year with my contract.
I thought it would be a cool phone to have, lots of apps, battery life, the big screen, decent camera etc.
I liked it so much I got my Daughter and son a Windows Phone too.

Back in May Microsoft announced that they are ditching Windows Mobile anyways.

And it's been crappy ever since I got it.

NO STRAVA
None of the Apps I wan't or need (Amazon Prime, ITV Hub)
And the final nail in the coffin.....

NO POKEMON GO.

Seriously, this thing is going to get a burial in the garden when I retire it.

Anyone else got a Windows Phone? I share your pain.

Got one as a work phone, and that made me decide never to get one for myself. My lad is looking for his first mobile, and even though they can be had cheap, he's not getting anything Windows based.

Get an Android phone and an iPad Mini (like me). The prefect mobile combo, especially if you chuck in a Bluetooth keyboard. :okay:

I've got a Windows phone and it's been running on Win10 since before xmas and it's superb imo.
However I've no interest in starva or sodding pokemons.. I see the lack of those apps as a plus

I had an android phone and it was crap, now have a windows phone from work and I prefer it and don't rally miss the iPhone - bigger screen, decent camera, good battery life, better for email and viewing excel and PDFs attachments etc, That said I use a garmin for strava anyway and I'm not big on apps. Use the iPad for anything like that. It's horses for course, it's good for work stuff, but Not for apps games and non phone related things.

Microsoft aren't dumping Windows 10 for Mobile. It's on the back burner to some extent, but Acer and HP are bringing out premium business devices, and my spare Windows Insider phone has now updates than you can shake a stick at. I'm not that fussed about any of the apps that are missing, and I like the UI, the programming APIs and the top-flight camera.

I had a Nokia Lumia 735 and loved it untill I smashed it cycling out to watch the Tour de Yorkshire, recording the ride on love to ride. I now have a Samsung A3 and I am liking the app compatability. Found it fustrating not been able to watch videos on BBC news.
