Long story short, I fitted an old front wheel I'd had hanging around in the shed as a spare, only to find it's not round. It's straight - no wobbles left & right by the brake pads. But the rim's probably 2-3mm higher at some points than others. Gives it a weird and wobbly ride. I'm amazed I never noticed in the old days, but there you go.
Is this reasonably easily fixable? I've done left to right trueing many times - re-dished several wheels for fixies - but I've never tried to correct non-roundness, and my stumbling first attempts haven't been encouraging. Any hints & tips much appreciated.
