8 not good? 8 is great! The bigger the number, the more point-scoring opportunities

Remember it's about how fast you look, not how fast you actually are

My current FCN is 12, so plenty of opportunity for scalping, especially newly acquired C2W bikes.
Unfortunately in a few weeks time my FCN changes to 4, so from being a scalper I become a potential scalpee.

I just worked out I was -1 today :ohmy:

slightly off-topic... but what points do I get for scalping an entire chain gang :evil:... despite them jumping a red light :angry:

I'm not sure you get any points for passing a group of prisoners chained together cleaning refuse by the roadside.

BSRU, not quite
3. Proper rapid Single speed (real men, messengers, tarty shiny fixies)
Clothing- Team Kit: -1 ('cause the wide temp range Castelli thermal kit is only in Garmin/Cervelo livery)
Baggage - Nothing: -1
Head Gear - Wrap arounds: -1
Accessories - Power meter: -1
Accessories - Aerobars: -1
Pedals - Evidently Clipless/spds (cycling shoes): 0

Wrong sort of chain gang

So you could potentially be a -2 after a session with a lady shave.

It depends what bike I'm on what my FCN score is;
Tourer = 7
Road Bike = 1
MTB with slicks = 8

I chose roadies with shaved legs - like girls, 'cos I am a girl and shave my legs :biggrin:, think that might have helped my score a bit.

No doubt my SCR will stay as is as there is hardly anyone on my commute to overtake. If I do encounter the rare event of another cyclist they are always pedalling the other way.

I claim immunity from leg shaving points lowering as since a high speed interaction with a certain piece of tarmac my legs look like they're really badly shaved to start with. Also it's about the 'look' so how do you know if I've shaved my legs when I'm wearing longs? :tongue:

I have no idea what my FCN is, but a couple of weeks back I got drafted for a few miles by a guy on an old squeaky mountain bike ... and I was on my road bike, riding at well over 20mph!! Each time I sped up, so did he ... and when we parted ways he hadn't even broken sweat! I know we were going damn fast because we scalped every other cyclist that we came across en-route, we were almost keeping up with cars a lot of the time and I was dripping with sweat. All I can think is that he was a Terminator. Or one of the Borg.

I got passed yesterday by a guy on a singlespeed with squeeky chain. It was so hard for me to stop myself chasing him down, and I was actually offended that he was quick enough to pass me even though I was riding at a recovery pace.
