Henry Hoover has one of those, but it resets when it cools down.

Checking the lead for breakages is a resonable shout. I've had to repair the lead on one of my drills* numerous times, ditto for the dremmel. The lead on a fan shouldn't come under the same stresses though.



*9 drills currently, although 3 of them are cordless!

Thermal cutouts can be resettable or non-resettable with the latter being cheaper. Guess which one the majority of manufacturers fit? 😂

TBH I have no idea and don't have the receipt. They have a contact/Web site so if my friend cannot fix it I will email them

I'll have a go at mending anything (almost)... but i reckon any warranty is void the moment i start tinkering.
